FAQ for Trading in your equipment

When will I receive my trade quote?

A Quinn representative will respond via phone or email within 24 hours of receiving your inquiry.

    Will additional inspections be required?

Yes. Before we accept the machine, a certified dealership inspector will conduct a physical inspection, either at your location or a Quinn facility, to verify its condition. The final trade offer may be adjusted if discrepancies or additional issues are identified.

How will the physical inspection be scheduled?

After you receive and accept the initial trade quote, a physical inspection will be scheduled at a mutually agreed time and location.

What happens after I accept the final trade offer?

Once both parties agree to the trade, a lien check will be conducted. All liens must be cleared before Quinn can accept the trade-in unit. Once cleared, we will coordinate the machine pickup and the delivery of your new purchase.

How does a consignment differ from a trade-in?

The inspection process is the same for both consignments and trade-ins. After both parties agree on the consignment’s value and terms, the machine will be listed for sale. Any liens must be cleared beforehand. You can either keep the machine or deliver it to a Quinn location, pending dealer approval. If the machine’s condition changes, you must inform the dealer, which may affect the sale price.

What is the current market value of my machine?

We determine your machine’s market value based on factors like make, model, age, condition, and usage hours. For an accurate valuation, contact us directly or use our online tool for an estimate based on current market trends.

How can I assess the condition of my equipment?

To evaluate the condition of your machine, check the following areas:
    • Engine and Hydraulics: Look for smooth operation and potential leaks.
    • Tracks and Undercarriage: Inspect for wear or damage.
    • Cab and Controls: Verify all controls are operational and the cab is in good shape.
    • Overall Maintenance: Review service records for comprehensive maintenance history.

What paperwork is required to sell my machine?

    Typically, you’ll need the following:
    • Proof of ownership (Title or Ownership Documents)
    • Maintenance records
    • Lien release documentation (if applicable)
Having these documents ready will help ensure a smooth transaction.

Should I provide maintenance records or service history to potential buyers?

Yes, detailed maintenance and service history can be very beneficial. This documentation gives buyers a clear understanding of the machine’s condition and can increase its perceived value.
